I am in the midst of revising book 2 of my trilogy, and I've been struggling a bit with this same thing. My character is only several months older than the end of book 1, but near the end of book 1 she goes through some serious hardship . . . and I know that changes her, or at least changes her decision making. <br />I liked what you said about the character not changing at heart, but changing in the decisions and in their thoughts. <br /><br />Great post, Michelle! I haven't written one yet, and I'm not sure mine would be have to deal with the same issues as Michelle faced.
