Indeed, real life is more "happily until the next disaster," though we all imagine a future in which disaster never comes. And what makes one person happy might make another miserable.

DeleteGreat prompt. It really gets me thinking about all the various goals my characters have and what they would do to attain them. "Happily ever after" is about a lot more than romance!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Every character's idea of what will bring lasting happiness is unique and very often is far larger than having a committed romantic relationship.
